Pregnancy Pictures!

Monday when Zach and I were back in Georgia, my cousin Tracy took some pregnancy pics of me- they turned out sooooo beautiful! All of you should hire her for weddings/portraits/etc cause she is amazing! Here are just 5 of the pictures that she took. Her website is http://www.tracyalene.com/

I was 29 weeks 3 days in all of these pics.

More Georgia pictures and shower pictures coming soon......

Georgia Bound

Well we finally got to Georgia Saturday night and are here until Friday morning. We stopped in Memphis Friday night and then got on the road the next morning after visiting with family. Probably no more updates until this weekend- no internet at Mom's house and I would much rather hang out with our long lost family than play on the internet anyway!

MJ thoroughly enjoyed the drive. He was passed out on the back seat the entire way from Memphis to Atlanta stretched from one door to the other.

John Mayer

The famous John Mayer concert that Zach has been talking about for months and months ever since he got this amazing Christmas gift from his parents... Without further adieu let me present the photography montage....

Zach rushed me out of the house without make-up on. Hence the reason I look the way I look. Awesome....

Actually I made Zach take a million pictures of us before it started because I looked fat in almost all of them. No make-up + pregnancy fat face never good. So these are the two that made the cut. Let's just say that these won't be our profile pics or anything!

My concert shoes- where else am I going to wear sparkly zebra print flats? Love them though!

The stage before it started.
I was really worried that the usher lady's reflective jacket was going to ruin all my concert pics...

The opening band- Michael Franti and Spearhead.
They were really awesome- like reggae rap from a white-guy with a little black-eyed peas mixed in. It wasn't until the end that we realized what song he was famous for - "Say Hey"
You would recognize it once you heard it. Promise.

Michael Franti, drunk people to the bottom and left of your screen, and the stupid reflecting jacket- ugh!

Michael Franti

John Mayer comes on!

I am not super-in-love with John Mayer like Zach is. But, he is pretty awesome live. He has only lost his awesomeness in the 14 hour car ride to Georgia on repeat. Kill me.

I am not a fan of standing for long periods of time whether 28 weeks pregnant or not.

Even at NC State when all the students would stand at the football games I would be like "can't we just sit already? My feet hurt. This is dumb." True football fan I am not.

So I was really hoping I would be able to sit for most of it...

My view for half of the concert. I would stand for a song, sit for one, stand for two, sit for one.
That is Zach standing next to me on the left- he is a true fan. Can't you people just sit down? What is really the difference in standing?

The truly sad part: I had to go get a large coke to keep me from falling asleep. I worked at 6am that morning and Zach and I are usually in bed by 10. We are wild and crazy! Can't even stay awake until 11:30 for a concert. Haha.

The first time I saw John Mayer I was going into 9th grade of High School and he was playing in Atlanta at "On the Bricks" in Centennial Olympic Park.

He actually played a ton of his old stuff- which was good for me cause that's pretty much all I know :-)

We were a little further away than some of the other pics deceptively make you believe. This is true camera angle.

Fun night!

I took a really awesome video from the concert. I tried to upload it to you-tube on my account, but got halfway through and realized I was violating their terms of use- you aren't supposed to put up videos of concerts without permission. So nevermind- I was just excited that he played Why, Georgia- he knew we were in the audience I guess :-)

Pic Update and Sneaky Dogs that Can't be Trusted!

28 weeks 5 days

Well as of lately, we have been returning home to some "wet spots" on our couch. Not sure if anyone else's dog does this- but ours likes to pick one spot on his bed, on the floor, or apparently on the couch and lick it over and over and over and over again. Weirdo. This is the only evidence that we have of him getting on the couches while we are gone- because when we come home he is always sitting like he is in the picture below.....

Who me?
I've been here the whole time....

Then he gets yelled at and gives me the evil eye. Typical of the terrible two's. Or I guess in dog years, typical of the terrible teens! aahh! What I have to look forward to with baby darling- awesome.

So- I have given in.
I can't keep him off the couches but I sure as heck can protect them from his slobber.

So- please.... if you want to come to my house. Either do not judge me for the mess or give me a few minutes to clean up before you come!

I have gotten used to the idea of not having a perfectly clean house. I'm not exactly a neat freak anyway, but I would rather have the joy of having my terrible teen puppy than have a spotless house. Zach might disagree with me on that one though!

I always remember the stories my mom would tell about going to visit her grandmothers. One was very high-maintenance with knick-knacks all over her spotless house. My mom would talk about how they didn't enjoy going because they were always in trouble for being too loud and wild. She never wanted her things to be in jeopardy of being ruined by young kids. Her other grandmother lived on a farm in the middle-of-nowhere Mississippi with no running water or central air/heat. They always loved going to visit her because they could just be kids and run around and have fun without worrying about ruining anything.

I guess it's the same- I would rather have the joy of having my dogs and later my kids have fun (with certain limitations of course!) than have a spotless house. I've given up the battle of keeping it clean!

2 Days till 3rd Trimester!

Nothing much exciting has happened lately- but I figure a picture update is blog-worthy. Our upcoming news is MUCH more exciting!

We have a John Mayer concert coming up, Dr.'s appointment, a recruiting trip in Dallas, working with the insurance company, and coming back to Atlanta next week!

27 weeks 5 days
He is up very high right now. I'm ready for him to start dropping a little since I feel like he is a part of my rib cage :-)

Dr. Appointment- set for this Friday. I get to do all of my fun testing like drinking the nasty glucose stuff. I have been warned to hold my nose and turn off the taste buds (wish that was possible!)

I have been working with Western Claims on getting everything settled. We have sent them pictures and the estimate and are in the process of getting a rental car for next Friday when we make the long trek back to Atlanta. We had originally planned to take the truck- but as you all know that won't be possible because it will be in the shop for weeks. We will be taking it in to B&M Friday March 12 and plan on leaving for Atlanta that same day after school. SO- we need a rental car and good news- we don't have to pay for it! I love free stuff- a rental car with better gas mileage and putting miles on someone else's car? Too good to be true.

Zach is starting to not feel very well- that's what you get for not getting your flu shots! So hopefully he will be able to turn it around in the next couple of days and start feeling better!

Winna Update!

Earlier in February, I posted that I won a CD from a blog giveaway from Keight Dukes on her blog Put Up Your Dukes. I was so excited because I NEVER win anything!! Now she is doing a giveaway for a gorgeous jewelry roll that she made- you should get on and check it out! (Which Keight, I believe I can now add an extra post because I just linked back to your blog- sweet! killing two birds with one stone here!)

The CD was Ryan Kiesshauer's and it was awesome! It is Christian worship music and I really loved it. All of the songs were really good, but I loved the piano/acoustic guitar duo in Not The End. To sum it up: It's not hard rock like Red and its not alternative like Reliant K and Hawk Nelson. It is a chill and beautiful worship CD. It has lots of acoustic guitar songs- which I love!! (Mom- you would absolutely love this CD too.)If you would like to sample songs or BUY the CD you can visit the website http://www.kiesshauer.com/

It is pretty awesome so I definitely recommend it!- and it's only 10 dollars!
