Abilene Zoo

This past weekend we played Angelo State and Abilene Christian. On Friday, our off day, we went to the zoo in Abilene. It was so much fun.

A Bison- not to be confused with the buffalo. Bison are from North America and Buffalo are from Africa. Learn something new everyday!

One of our players feeding crackers to the giraffes. When you pay for your ticket you can pay an extra $1.50 to buy crackers. You can feed the giraffes, birds, fish and turtles.

I grew up in Atlanta, GA my whole life and am glad I am back! I am a really family oriented and I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family who will travel anywhere just to see me play or coach volleyball! I was the assistant volleyball coach at Cameron University in Lawton, OK but am now back in GA. I am a history teach at Hertiage High School in Conyers, GA and am the Head Volleyball Coach there. Jesus is the number one priority in my life and I have been blessed with so many wonderful experiences and opportunities because of His direct impact on my life. I love my husband with all my heart and try to better our relationship everyday, even if sometimes I fail. The past six months have been amazing since the birth of our son! He rocks our world in the best way possible!

Zach grew up in Illinois, Texas, and Georgia. Now, he works at Dunwoody High School in Dunwoody, GA and coaches JV boys basketball, and is also an assistant on Varsity. He is an amazing husband and a wonderful basketball coach. His basketball IQ is unreal- seriously (I guess that's what happens when you've been playing since you can walk). He is so wonderful and went all the way out to Oklahoma because of my dreams and my job. But now we are back in the ATL and couldn't be happier. I couldn't ask for a better husband, and he is quite possibly the best daddy in the world!

This is Michael Jordan Darling (otherwise known as M.J.) Even though Zach might not think of him as a "part of our family", I sure do. He is my baby. I got him from the Jasper County Humane Society a few years back. Now he is just over two years old and bratty as ever. Seriously- he has major only child syndrome or something. He thinks he runs the roost while Zach is gone and then quickly reverts to obedient child when Zach is around. I love him to death and he is going to be a great big "brother" to Baby Darling.
